Inside the SHC
Candid conversation, down-to-earth advice, straight talk—it’s all part of our video collection, “Inside the SHC.”
We invited about 20 Schreyer Scholars to sit down and talk to us about everything from what they think about living in honors housing to what it’s like being a Penn Stater. We even asked them what they do for fun.
You can sit in on the conversations and hear what they had to say here in our video gallery. You can even get a behind-the-scenes look at the outtakes that didn’t make the final cuts on our bloopers reel.
It’s all a part of being “Inside the SHC.”

Homes of the Indian Nation (HOINA) |
|
This video was produced by Scholars who participated in the program and guides viewers through the sights and sounds of their service learning experience in India. The HOINA (Homes of the Indian Nation) service learning program is made possible through a partnership between the Penn State Schreyer Honors College and HOINA. This partnership offers a great opportunity for students to discover HOINA first-hand. HOINA is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1972 by Darlene Large, a Penn State Distinguished Alumna. This organization cares for abandoned, orphaned, abused and handicapped children in Southern India. Today, HOINA manages a boys’ home in Visakhapatnam and a girls’ home near Chennai.
