Scholar Alumni, Parents, and Friends
Penn State Scholar alumni identify their honors affiliation through either the University Scholars Program, which was established in 1980, or the Schreyer Honors College, which was founded in 1997. This network of alumni extends throughout all 50 states and to countries on six of the world's seven continents.
Today, the Schreyer Honors College welcomes all Scholar alumni to be a part of a program that continues to bring some of the brightest students to Penn State. Through the Scholar Alumni Society, a constituent society within the Penn State Alumni Association, alumni can be involved in the ongoing success of the Schreyer Honors College while connecting with fellow Penn Staters.
Opportunities to be involved, which are also open to Scholar parents and friends, include:
- Mentoring Scholars
- Hosting events
- Identifying career and internship opportunities
- Making financial contributions
