2009 SHO TIME Schedule
Freshman Scholars Event Schedule for Wednesday, August 19
Please check this site on a regular basis as we continue to confirm times and locations of programs and activities for your arrival and orientation.
Arrival conflicts: Freshman Scholars are encouraged to attend all planned activities for SHO TIME 2009. We recognize, however, that some students will be asked to participate in other orientation programs or may be auditioning for Penn State Blue Band. Please notify Ms. Rosanna Mersinger at rlm29@psu.edu if you have a University conflict with SHO TIME.
Dietary restrictions: Several SHO TIME events may be catered by University-approved vendors. Schreyer Scholars are asked to notify the Schreyer Honors College of any special dietary restrictions or allergies via e-mail to scholars@psu.edu by August 1.

| 9:00 a.m. | Arrival and Move-In Mentors, Scholar Assistants, and Resident Assistants will greet your family, address any questions you may have, and direct you to where you need to go. |
| Open until 3:30 p.m. | New Student Registration and Check-In Simmons Courtyard (in case of inclement weather, White Building) |
| 4:00 p.m. | Parent Information Session (for Parents and Families) Heritage Hall, Hetzel Union Building Before parents leave campus, the Schreyer Honors College is sponsoring an information session moderated by Anne Ard, the parent of a returning Schreyer Scholar. Questions about campus life and the transition to living away from home will be answered by representatives from Housing Food Services, Campus Police, Residence Life, and Penn State’s Counseling and Advising Program (CAPS). |
| 4:00 p.m. | Mentor Welcome and Social (for Mentors and New Scholars) Hetzel Union Building (HUB) Lawn (in case of inclement weather, check in at White Building) Meet your SHO TIME mentor teams and leaders on the HUB Lawn. |

| 7:00 p.m. | PLAYFAIR Main Gymnasium, Recreational Hall This is the ultimate meet-and-greet. In 60 non-stop minutes, you'll learn lots about your fellow members of the Schreyer Class of 2013. |

| 10:00 p.m. | Special Feature Outdoor Movie: "Back to the Future" |
