A Johns Hopkins faculty member whose career is focused on teaching and research in the area of public health and the first woman to serve as New Hampshire’s attorney general are being recognized as Penn State's Schreyer Honors College's 2009 Outstanding Scholar Alumni.

Kevin D. Frick '91 H&HD and Kelly A. Ayotte '90 Lib will receive their awards at a ceremony at Penn State's University Park campus in September.

"Each year, the Outstanding Scholar Alumni Awards allow the Schreyer Honors College to highlight the ways in which our alumni have applied their Penn State education to positively influence their communities and beyond," said Christian M. M. Brady, dean of the Schreyer Honors College. "Kevin and Kelly are deserving of this year's honors given the successes each have achieved at this point in their careers. It is exciting is to consider the impact they will continue to have in the future."
