What is RSS?

RSS (Rich Site Summary) is widely used by the web community to deliver regularly changing web content such as news, weblogs and other syndicated postings.

RSS saves users from having to repeatedly visit favorite Web sites to check for new content or be notified of updates via e-mail. It is now very common to find RSS feeds on most major Web sites, as well as on many smaller sites.

A program known as a feed reader or aggregator can check RSS-enabled webpages on behalf of a user and display any updated articles that it finds. When you subscribe to a site's RSS feed, you can choose which RSS reader you'd like to use.

Google Chrome users may have to add a Google Chrome Extension such as RSS Subscription Extension to handle RSS feeds.
