Schreyer Ambassador Travel Grants

Sakiba Khan, BangladeshArgentina. Bangladesh. Namibia. China. Taiwan. These are just a handful of the more than 40 countries that Schreyer Scholars visited last year—all part of our students’ experiences in “building a global perspective,” one of the pillars of the Schreyer Honors College’s mission.

But building that global perspective on an individual basis can be an expensive proposition. That’s where the Schreyer Ambassador Travel Grant (SATG) can help. For the 2011-12 academic year, more than 280 grants totaling nearly $200,000 were awarded to Schreyer Scholars engaged in study, research, service, or internships abroad.  Since 1997 the SATG has funded over 2,500 international experiences, for total support of over $2 million. Grants range from $300 to $1,500 depending on destination and duration of the program or experience.
