Preparing for Graduation
Step 5: Medals Ceremony Information and Schedule
Medals Ceremony Information
The Schreyer Honors College holds a special ceremony at the end of each semester (fall, spring, and summer) to honor graduating Schreyer Scholars. At the ceremony, graduates are presented with the Scholars medal, created by metallist John A. Cook, professor emiritus of art in the College of Arts and Architecture. The medal is engraved with the phrases "Scholarly Achievement," "Integrity of Purpose," and "Intellectual Curiosity."
Tickets: Tickets are required for admission to the spring Medals Ceremony. Each graduating Scholar may request up to four tickets to the event. Should additional tickets be available, Scholars are notified in a message from the college that extra tickets may be picked up in the college's Atherton Hall offices on a first-come basis. No tickets are required for summer or fall Medals Ceremony.
