The goal of the Schreyer Honors College - Society for Distinguished Alumni Mentor Program is to facilitate reciprocal, one-on-one relationships in which a Schreyer Scholar may gain a role model, a trusted adviser, a guide, and a wise friend while the Distinguished Alumna/us may gain a fresh, personal connection to Penn State, tangible evidence of his/her impact on the future, and satisfaction in nurturing the potential of a talented, committed young leader. Mentoring with Honors

The mentoring relationship is a one-year commitment made by both the mentee and the mentor to create and develop a relationship that we hope will be a mutually beneficial professional and life-changing experience. It is not uncommon that the mentor and mentee mutually agree to continue their mentoring relationship for longer periods of time. [More about Mentoring with Honors...]
Orientation Mentors

Eligibility: Open to all Schreyer Scholars in good academic standing
Application is currently closed
All applicants selected to serve as mentors must continue to be in good academic standing through the spring semester. Students on academic warning at the end of the spring semester will not be eligible to serve as mentors in the fall.
The Schreyer Honors College seeks approximately 100 outstanding students to serve as Orientation Mentors for FTCAP in May and/or SHO TIME (Schreyer Honors Orientation) in August for incoming Scholars. [More about Orientation Mentors...]
Career Development Program

Eligibility: Open to all Schreyer Scholars in good academic standing
Application deadline: Fall semester
