Book Discussion pres. by Scholar Alumni Society, Option 2

  • Tuesday, November 15, 2022
  • 12:30 PM- 1:30 PM
  • Zoom
Join Dean Patrick T. Mather '89 and Ms. Lori Feathers '90, literary critic and co-owner & principle book buyer for Interabang Books in Dallas, Texas, for a book discussion with Scholars and Scholar alumni of "Passing" by Nella Larsen (ISBN 9780143129424).

Consider picking up a copy at your local independent bookstore, borrowing from your local library, downloading an e-book, or listening to an audiobook version of this riveting and thought provoking tale of two women navigating life as women of color in 1920s Harlem. You can even watch the film adaptation on Netflix if you are interested but pressed on time.

Spots are limited to the first 5 current Scholars and 15 Scholar Alumni for each session, so register fast! Registration after that will be for the waitlist which will be opened on a first-come, first-served basis.

Zoom links will be provided by e-mail 1-2 business days before each session to registered attendees.

Schreyer Scholar Rucha Bhide

Schreyer gave me a really good resource and community. There’s 300 people in the exact same position I was in. It’s made Penn State a lot smaller and a lot more manageable.
