DHFP GMO plants and "Franken-foods"
Genetically-modified foods have been around for more than 20 years, including products with better shelf-life, specific herbicide resistance, or ability to grow under drought conditions. These foods have been the topic of heated debate over their alleged consequences and advantages. This session will examine the history of these genetic modifications, including a discussion of the safety and environmental impact of what have often been referred to as “Franken-foods”. Dinner will be served.
