Enjoy a visit to the hub of Penn State Meteorology and Atmospheric Science with Dr. Nese. The department’s 18-panel electronic wall will be the focus of this deep dive into the data and imagery that meteorologists use to assess and predict weather and climate conditions worldwide. Learn about the tools meteorologists use such as web cams, satellite imagery, radar data, and computer model outputs.

During this discussion, you will be exposed to the same data used by operational and research meteorologists to analyze and forecast atmospheric conditions on short and long time scales. Come enjoy this discussion over a catered dinner!

Being in Schreyer has pushed me further than I ever thought an undergraduate education could. I knew coming to Penn State that I would receive an amazing education with access to a multitude of state-of-the-art resources, but being a Scholar has allowed me to use this environment to maximize my potential and place my education in an ever-changing global community.
