DHFP: Why is the Military Museum in Boalsburg?

  • Wednesday, September 18, 2019
  • 3:30 PM- 5:30 PM
  • Pennsylvania Military Museum

Have your ever been driving along Route 322 and wondered why the Pennsylvania Military Museum is so close by, or perhaps who visits such a place and what narrative it tells? As part of an exploration of museums, memorials and public memory, we will take a private tour of the site and learn the answers to these and any other questions you might have. After the tour we will head across the street for a snack and conversation at the Pump Station Café.

Schreyer Scholar Anna Shamory

Through Schreyer, I was able to gain not only academic validation but also an opportunity to study abroad in Israel last summer, at an archaeological dig. The field experience and cultural immersion allowed me to take Schreyer abroad — their values of leadership and self-improvement were right there with me, every day.
