Free ticket: Calidore String Quartet

The Schreyer Honors College in partnership with the Centre for Performing Arts invites Schreyer Scholars to this cultural performance. We will have a limited number of free tickets and they will be available first-come, first-served to Scholars who RSVP by Friday, April 3.

Within two years of its creation in 2010, the Calidore String Quartet had won grand prizes in most of the major U.S. chamber music competitions. More recently, the ensemble has garnered the 2018 Avery Fisher Career Grant and the 2017 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award.

The quartet features violinists Jeffrey Myers and Ryan Meehan, violist Jeremy Berry, and cellist Estelle Choi. “Four more individual musicians are unimaginable, yet these speak, breathe, think, and feel as one,” writes a Washington Post reviewer. “… The grateful audience left enriched and, I suspect, a little more human than it arrived.”

My thesis is a creative thesis. I'm writing a feature-length screenplay for a movie. As a film major, having a finished screenplay that you can take to different companies is really a strong selling point that most people don't have coming out of college.
