CONNECT Chats: "Adulting"

A continuation of the CONNECT Alumni Career Day series, CONNECT Chats provide Schreyer Scholars an opportunity to connect with Scholar alumni with experience in a given field or with a certain expertise. Adulting: the practice of behaving in a way characteristic of a responsible adult, especially the accomplishment of mundane but necessary tasks. Don’t worry about not having everything figured out! In this program, Scholar alumni will offer tips on how to balance work or school with personal responsibilities and other interests. They’ll offer suggestions on making a positive impression in a new job or graduate program as well how to figure out living situations, making friends in a new location, and more. This event is open to all class years. I was looking at a lot of other big schools, and they were all places where I could’ve done my double major in music and science. When I got into Schreyer, however, I realized I wouldn’t have all these opportunities provided here at other schools, and that really elevated Penn State for me.
