  • Wednesday, March 17, 2021
  • 5:30 PM- 7:00 PM
  • Zoom link will be provided

This interactive presentation examines intergenerational programs and practices for promoting health and wellness across the lifespan. We will explore intergenerational strategies for supporting families with caregiving challenges, promoting healthy eating and active living, reducing social isolation and loneliness, etc. In small or large groups, participants will choose one or more health-related problems or challenges and craft intervention strategies. In the process, participants will receive hands-on practice in applying principles for effective intergenerational programming. In lieu of a catered dinner, students who attend and participate in the entire event will receive a gift card to purchase a meal after the event (must attend the entire event).

I was looking at a lot of other big schools, and they were all places where I could’ve done my double major in music and science. When I got into Schreyer, however, I realized I wouldn’t have all these opportunities provided here at other schools, and that really elevated Penn State for me.
