- Wednesday, March 3, 2021
- 6:00 PM- 7:30 PM
- Zoom
Discover the power of ecological systems to help provide nutritious food, renewable energy, and clean water for people around the world. Learn how we can purify water without the use of chemicals, and how aquatic plants like duckweed can be harvested to produce sustainable fertilizers, food, and biofuels. The evening will conclude with a discussion of the far reaching applications of engineered ecological systems, from humanitarian aid initiatives to future space exploration. In lieu of a catered dinner, students who attend and participate in the entire event will receive a gift card to purchase a meal after the event (must attend the entire event).
