At the Schreyer Honors College, honors housing is far more than just a room in a residence hall. In Atherton and Simmons, the two honors housing residence halls, you'll find Scholars discussing class projects, holding meetings for student organizations, or simply socializing. Both of our residence halls hold a prime campus location, near classrooms and recreational facilities, steps away from the HUB, and just across the street from downtown State College.

About 70% of the students living in Atherton and Simmons are Schreyer Scholars.
Scholars living in honors housing may choose to room with someone who is not a Scholar.
Many of the programs sponsored by the Honors College take place in Atherton or Simmons.
Community Builders Scholar Assistants
Scholar Assistants are upperclass Scholars living in the honors residence halls who are here to foster a sense of community among our students. They can help you identify academic advising resources, answer questions about your class schedule, and, most importantly, make you aware of a wide range of benefits afforded to Scholars. They also help to organize diverse out-of-classroom activities, fun and relaxing social programs, and interactive panel discussions with faculty and Scholar alumni.
Taylor Pust Neuroscience & Neuropsychology Pittsburgh, PA
Hello Schreyer Scholars! My name is Taylor Pust, and I am so excited to be one of your Scholar Assistants this year! I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but I definitely consider Happy Valley to be my second home. I plan on double majoring in Neuroscience and Neuropsychology, with the hopes of attending medical school after graduation.
I love being involved in a myriad of organizations and clubs on campus, especially because I get to meet a lot of new people! I am currently involved with Schreyer Student Council, THON, and some pre-med societies, such as Alpha Epsilon Delta.
Schreyer has provided me with so many opportunities, which have helped me make the most out of my college experience. I hope that I can help you get the most out of Schreyer, especially with events and opportunities that align with your passions. As a Scholar Assistant, I truly want you to take advantage of what Schreyer has to offer and become part of the motivating and supportive network that comes with it.

Elizabeth Weiland Supply Chain Management Claysburg, PA
Hello Schreyer Scholars! My name is Elizabeth Weiland, and I am beyond excited to serve as your Career Development Scholar Assistant this year. I am from the small town of Claysburg, Pennsylvania, and I am majoring in Supply Chain Management with minors in International Business and Spanish.
One of the main reasons I chose Penn State – and specifically Schreyer – was because of the countless opportunities here to learn something new and pursue passions. Because of this, I am currently active with Alpha Kappa Psi Co-Ed Professional Business Fraternity, the Consultant Training Program, Schreyer Consulting Group (Director of Alumni Relations), and Schreyer Student Council (Active Service Chair). The summer following my senior year of high school, I had the opportunity to intern in the Human Resources Department at Sheetz, and this summer, I will be a procurement intern in the Global Logistics and Distribution Department at Ingersoll Rand. Outside of academics and career development, I love hanging out with people and researching cities I will hopefully travel to one day.
The amazing mentors in Schreyer have pushed me to continually develop my best self, and I couldn’t imagine college without this incredible Schreyer culture and community. Falynn Dunkelberger International Politics / Women, Gender & Sexuality Las Vegas, NV
Hello Scholars! My name is Falynn Dunkelberger and I am extremely excited to serve as one of your Scholar Assistants. I am a sophomore from Las Vegas, Nevada and pursuing a double major in International Politics and Women, Gender, and Sexuality, Studies with a minor in Spanish.
On campus, I am involved with a few different organizations on campus. I’ve served with Schreyer Student Council as the Creating Your Future Chair and on the University Park Undergraduate Association as a Freshmen Council member. In addition to these roles, I’ve been involved with Schreyer for Women and Liberal Arts Envoys. I also work as an intern for the LGBTQA Student Resource Center on campus. In my free time, I enjoy reading and attending all of the amazing free concerts on campus!
The Schreyer Honors College has completely shaped my college experience and pushed me to explore new interests, meet new people, and open up new doors that I never thought possible. Justin Malley Mathematics / French Wallingford, PA
Hello Schreyer Scholars! My name is Justin Malley and I am excited to be your Scholar Assistant! I’m a sophomore from Wallingford, PA pursuing majors in Mathematics and French with a minor in Economics. Here at Penn State, specifically through Schreyer, there are thousands of opportunities to pursue your interests, and in my first year I did just that. Over my first two semesters I’ve conducted chemical engineering research, took part in a consulting training program, joined the schreyer consulting group, skied on the club ski race team, and joined a professional business fraternity. This past summer I spent two months attending the Centre for Applied Linguistics in Besançon, France and caddied at Aronimink Golf Club.
As your Scholar Assistant, my main goal is to help you use maximize the resources offered to you within Schreyer. All that I do would not have been possible without the advice and guidance I received from mentors I met within Schreyer, which is why I’m so grateful to call Schreyer my home!

Victor Alleyne Criminology (BA)
I am a senior majoring in Criminology and enhance minoring in French. I am from uptown Washington, D.C. On campus, I’m a facilitator and mentor for the Black and Latino Male Empowerment Group that assists minoritized communities on campus with their management of college life. I’m also a Penn State Auxiliary Officer and Paterno Fellow. Additionally, I interned with the Department of Justice for the last two summers in my hometown where I gained valuable experience and knowledge about our federal law enforcement agencies. I enjoy playing intramural flag football during the fall and spring when I’m not working on my thesis with my graduate student and supervisor. I also love watching my Pittsburgh Steelers play on Sundays, practicing karate and reading books.

I am a sophomore from Chicago, IL majoring in Economics and Community, Environment & Development with a focus on Environmental Economics & Policy. I am a research associate at the Center for Economic and Community Development, and also am a Rock Ethics Institute Student Fellow for USDA funded inquiry on economic platforms for cellular agriculture (cultured agricultural products, such as lab-grown meat). I am a member of the Scholar Ambassador Team, a member of the Presidential Leadership Academy, President of Schreyer for Women, and have been involved with many organizations at Penn State such as Empower Orphans, THON Donor & Relations, UNESCO Youth as Researchers, and was a SHO TIME 2018 Orientation Mentor. In my free time I enjoy music, art, poetry, hiking, listening to podcasts, reading and meaningful conversations over coffee.

I am a junior triple-majoring in Economics, International Politics, and Philosophy. I am from DuBois, Pennsylvania, but I have spent a considerable amount of time living in Delft, Netherlands. At Penn State, I am involved in the Schreyer Success Coach Program, the Vegetarian/Vegan Society, the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity’s “Straight Talks” Peer Education Program, and Asylum, a club that organizes music events in State College featuring local artists and bands. Additionally, I am involved with sustainability efforts on campus, and I received coverage from Penn State News on my decision to eliminate single-use plastics from my life. Outside of my commitments on campus, I enjoy hiking, camping, longboarding, and traveling around Northwestern Europe and Scandinavia.

Autumn Deitrick Civil Engineering (BS)
I am a junior majoring in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources Engineering. My hometown is Williamsport, PA - which is the same hometown as Mr. Schreyer! Nearly every morning you can find me in the Hydraulics Laboratory conducting research on Nature-Like Fish Passages as part of Dr. Xiaofeng Liu’s Environmental Fluid Dynamics Research Group. This past summer I was funded by an Erickson Discovery Grant that allowed me to research at PSU and construct my very own experimental flume. Aside from research I strive to improve engineering culture on campus through the club that I helped to co-found, Student Perspectives on Engineering Culture. Additionally, I enjoy reading, watching PSU men’s and women’s soccer games, and painting.
Siddhi Deshpande Science (PMAJ)
Hi! I’m a sophomore majoring in Neurobiology, currently pursuing minors in World Literature and Global Health. I’m originally from East Greenwich, Rhode Island (about 20 minutes south of Providence). On campus, I’m involved in the Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship program, where we are developing a low-cost device to conduct complete blood counts in the developing world. I also co-founded the local chapter of the Sunrise Movement, an environmental activism club to encourage political action against climate change. Additionally, I am heavily involved as a facilitator at World in Conversation, I am on the Schreyer Medical Career Development team, and I work as an EMT at Centre Lifelink. Last summer, I was a research intern at Brown University, having the amazing opportunity to do CRISPR. Outside of my classes, I love to read, play volleyball, watch Spanish TV, and try out new places to eat downtown.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, taking walks, one-on-one conversations and the Glass Animals!

I am a junior majoring in history, economics, and French with a minor in Jewish studies. I am from Mechanicsburg, PA, which is right outside Harrisburg. On campus, I am involved with music in both the Penn State Concert Choir and Oriana Singers. Additionally, I am involved with THON as a Dancer Relations Committee Member and the Donor and Alumni Relations chair for my THON organization, Oriana Singers and Glee Club Benefitting THON. Last summer, I had the opportunity to intern at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park where I developed historical programs and interacted with the public on a daily basis. Throughout this school year, I will also be interning with the Department of State through an online internship where I will be researching the history of relations between the United States and Sub-Saharan Africa. Outside of classes, I love trying out new restaurants with my friends, drinking coffee, and knitting.

I am a junior scholar studying Biochemistry and Molecular Biology on a Pre-Med track, with an intended minor in Mathematics. Extracurricularly, I am a member of Schreyer for Women, Global Brigades and the Scholar Ambassador Team, as well as the Social Director of the Schreyer Student Council. I am also involved in an Mathematics research lab looking to model the involvement of certain biomolecules in axon regeneration. In my free time, I enjoy studying and hanging out with my friends, going to the gym, listening to every genre of music, as well as spending a majority of my time and money at Starbucks and Chipotle.

I am a Security and Risk Analysis and Political Science major with a minor in Chinese. I am from Charlotte, North Carolina. I am involved with Schreyer for Women, Women in IST, and Red Cell Analytics Lab. Outside of school, I can be found reading and writing outside, watching Penn State football, or hanging out with my friends. Last summer, I interned with Deloitte’s Risk and Financial Advisory practice in Charlotte.

I am a current junior from San Antonio, Texas studying Global and International Studies and Political Science with a minor in Spanish. I am a member of the Scholar Ambassador team, the Presidential Leadership Academy, Mexican-American Association, and Salt Company ministry, as well as an RA in East. In my free time, I enjoy listening to any music, watching dramatic reality television, and getting to spend time with my closest friends.

Outside of class, I am an RA for the Globe floor in honors housing, the Public Relations Director for Net Impact, a member of the sustainable business committee of the Student Sustainability Advisory Council, and a Study Abroad Peer Adviser after studying abroad in the Czech Republic last spring. My interests include hiking and kayaking, travel, comedy specials, and hanging out with my dogs and family while making s'mores!
Maanasi Gothoskar Biochem & Molec Biol (BS)
I am a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology on a Pre-Med track and I am from Allentown, PA. Along with being a Scholar Ambassador, on campus, I am involved in Remote Area Medical, a STEM sorority, a new organization, Kanvas for Kids, and am on the Presidential Advisory Board for Schreyer Student council. I am also in a Neuroscience research lab, which focuses on using behavioral assessment to analyze the cognitive and emotional effects of stress factors on animals to study various brain disorders. I spent half of this past summer in the research lab and the other half traveling around Europe. Most of my free time is spent at the gym and hanging out with friends. I also very much enjoy traveling to National Parks, hiking, skiing and photography.

I am a sophomore majoring in Pre-Med and Medical Communications. I am from Chadds Ford, PA. On campus, I am involved in Remote Area Medical which aims to bring free access to medicine in rural areas of the United States. In addition, I have a great passion for travelling the world. Last summer, I studied abroad in Kenya and Tanzania where I was able to interact and learn the Kenyan/Tanzanian cultures.

I am a junior from Yardley, PA, double majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Along with being a member of the Scholar Ambassador Team, I serve as Vice President of the Schreyer Student Council, conduct research with THRED Group in the School of Engineering Design, Technology, and Professional Programs, and am a part of the Presidential Leadership Academy. In my free time, I love attending and watching Penn State and Eagles football games, playing the piano, and trying out new food spots downtown with my friends.
Benjamin Martin Engr Premajor (PMAJ)
I am a sophomore majoring in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Spanish. I am from Gibsonia, PA, roughly half an hour North of Pittsburgh. In addition to being a Scholar Ambassador, I am involved with Lion Scouts (a campus-wide tour organization) and PSIADA (the model UN team). I serve as the Webmaster Chair and Director of Marketing for these clubs, respectively. Also, I am currently working as a Research Assistant for the Dussias Brain Tracking Lab, which studies brain activity in bilingual speakers when changing from one language to another. Aside from classes and extracurriculars, I enjoy listening to music and spending time with friends.
Alexia Mazzarella Vet & Biomedical Sc (BS)
I am a senior majoring in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Italian. I am from Pittston, Pa which is a small town located between Wilkes Barre and Scranton, PA. I currently serve as Vice President of Pre-Vet Club, where I am in charge of contacting guest speakers, organizing Hands-On Labs, and planning veterinary school admissions meetings. I also serve as an Ag Advocate for the College of Agricultural Sciences, where I promote the college to current and prospective students and alumni. In order to complete my minor in Italian, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy for six weeks and learn about art history, Italian culture, and learn the Italian language. I currently work as a research assistant at the Central Milk Testing Lab and an Italian tutor at Penn State Learning. I have also done research through the Reproductive Research Team at the Mastitis Research Barns. Throughout my time at Penn State, I have been heavily involved in THON through CHAARG, a women’s fitness organization that promotes health and wellness. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym with friends, travelling to new places with my family, and spending time with my dog!
Kyle McKelvey Architectural Engr (BAE)
I am a Junior majoring in Architectural Engineering. It is a five-year program and during that time I am going to receive both my undergraduate and graduate school degrees. I am from Ashburn, Virginia which is about 40 minutes outside of D.C. I am a member of the Penn State Crew team on campus and am also in a professional fraternity, Alpha Rho Chi, dedicated to architecture and its allied arts. Additionally, have a job on campus working as a student supervisor at the IT Service Desk. Outside of class and my extra curriculars, I enjoy playing the piano and painting; my favorite thing to paint being landscapes. This past summer I went abroad to China, visiting many places like Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and many more, to study the culture and architecture there. It was a great experience seeing how their architecture differs from ours and how the cultural and political differences play a part in that. Lastly, I am a huge dog fan and will lose total focus whenever I spot a dog walking past.

I am a junior majoring in psychology with a neuroscience option while minoring in natural sciences (in hopes of going to medical school). I'm from Chester Springs, PA, which is about 45 min west of Philadelphia. Currently, I am the fellowship chair for ServeState: Students for Philanthropy, a service organization that helps out around the State College community. Aside from Scholar Ambassador Team and ServeState, I am also a volunteer at Mount Nittany Medical Center. When I'm not doing anything school-related, you'll find me watching Game of Thrones or taking a break on the HUB Lawn if the weather is nice!

I am a Junior in the Master of Accounting program, with a major in German and a minor in International Business. I just completed a 5-month study abroad program in Freiburg Germany including a 3-month internship where I taught English at a German highschool. I was a SHO TIME 2019 Team Leader, and this year I was selected to be a Supply Logistics Captain for THON 2020, where I am in charge of the Hershey Holiday Toy Drive and Toy, Technology, and Sporting good in-kind donations. In my free time, I love traveling, photography, and biking!
Alexis Palucki Agriculture (PMAJ)
I am a sophomore majoring in Immunology and Infectious Diseases with a minor in Global Health. I grew up in Princeton, NJ and now live in Collegeville, PA which is 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia. On campus, I am involved in THON through different committees and an organization, Springfield. Last summer, I was an intern for the microbiology group at VenatroX Pharmaceutical Company. I was able to shadow and aid laboratory scientists investigating a novel drug targeting antibiotic resistant bacteria. After graduating at Schreyer, my goal is to attend graduate school to further my education and later embark on a career that strives to improve global health through discovering and developing novel medicines. Outside of school, I enjoy playing volleyball, reading novels, and going on adventures with my friends and family.

"I am a junior majoring in chemical engineering with an entrepreneurship and innovation minor. I’ve lived in Pittsburgh, PA my entire life, and I’m huge fan of all things Pittsburgh sports! In addition to being a Scholar Ambassador, I am also the President of the Schreyer Student Council. Around campus, I’m a member of the Engineering Undergraduate Council and work with the Rioux Research Group studying single-atom catalysts. Andrew Pei Chemical Engineering (BS)
I am a junior majoring in Chemical Engineering while minoring in Environmental Engineering and Economics. I am from Lansdale, PA, about 40 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. On campus, I am heavily involved in the Moringa research lab, which focuses on developing a sustainable water filter using seeds from the tropical Moringa oleifera tree. As part of this lab, I have traveled to Fort Myers, Florida to conduct field research, presented my research at the United Nations Headquarters, and conducted full-time research over the summer. Additionally, I am the stringer for the Penn State Division I men's and women's tennis teams, through which I have the opportunity to interact with students, student athletes, and community members that come together to share their love for tennis. Last summer, I interned with Lonza Pharma and Biotech in Bend, Oregon. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, watching Eagles football, and traveling with family and friends.

I am a sophomore majoring in Finance and Data Science from Pittsburgh, PA. On-campus, I am involved with the Nittany Lion Fund, a student-run value-oriented investment hedge fund with ~$9.50 million in private investor capital. As a fund manager, I must manage our sector portfolio and mitigate potential risks within. Additionally, I am involved with the Penn State Investment Association and Cooking & Baking Club. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends.
Noah Rubin Computer Science (BS)
I’m a junior from Wynnewood, PA (~15 mins outside of Philadelphia) studying Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Coding is my passion, and I’ve competed in both the HackPSU hackathon and the CodePSU coding competition here on campus. I interned at Google this past summer and will be going back for another internship this coming summer. When I’m not coding, you can usually find me listening to music, watching tv, or hanging out with my friends.
Jessica Saganowich Biology (BS)
I am a senior from North Carolina, majoring in Biology with a minor in Hearing and Deaf Studies. It is a true honor to be a Co-Chair of the Schreyer Ambassador team, and I am looking forward to an amazing year. In addition to working closely with the Honors College and Ambassador team, I have enjoyed volunteering with Life Link PSU for the past three years and being a part of Remote Area Medical. My research interests involve working with individuals with Down Syndrome in order to create more effective AAC platforms. After graduation, I plan to apply to medical school and to continue my passion of working with individuals with disabilities. I am extremely thankful to have been a part of the Schreyer Honors College; through Schreyer, I have been able to travel to Italy and explore the birth of medicine, foster a professional mentoring relationship, and act on my life-long passion of working with individuals with disabilities though my Honors Thesis.
Anjali Sapre Biology (BS)
I am a sophomore majoring in Biology with a focus in Neuroscience and minoring in Spanish. I’m from Yardley, Pennsylvania, which is just outside of Philadelphia in Bucks County. On campus, I am involved in Remote Area Medical, a student-led organization committed to delivering free healthcare to underserved communities in the US. I am also involved in research in the Kovac lab, where I study the effects of different antibiotics on various foodborne pathogens. In addition, I like to play the piano, dance, and watch comedies.
Dylan Schoemaker Plant Sciences (BS)
I am a senior majoring in Plant Sciences with an option in Genetics and Biotechnology and a minor in Agronomy. I am from Womelsdorf, Pennsylvania located just outside of Reading, PA. I am heavily involved in the Penn States Roots Labs, a research lab looking to identify key traits in plant roots that can help improve nutrient acquisition for agricultural crops grown in both the developed and developing world. From my experience with my lab, I have had the opportunity to travel to the University of Nottingham in England to use large X-Ray crystallography machines to study root architecture in barley. Beyond my work in undergraduate research, I also served as a Campus Ambassador for the national nonprofit organization Agriculture Future of America. Besides being a Schreyer Ambassador, I am an Ag Advocate for the College of Agricultural Sciences where I help promote the college to current and perspective students along with alumni. In my free time I enjoy being outside hiking, kayaking, and running. I also love spending time with my dogs and traveling with my family and friends!
Casey Sennett Anthropology (BA) Jewish Studies (BA)
I am a sophomore triple majoring in Anthropology, History, and Jewish Studies. I am from Philipsburg, PA, which is located 30 minutes west of State College. In addition to being involved in Schreyer Ambassadors, I am the Vice President of the Liberal Arts Ambassadors, Treasurer of Regeneration, and a member of the Paterno Fellows Student Advisory Board and the Penn State International Affairs and Debate Association. I also recently served as a SHO TIME 2019 Orientation Mentor. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, spending time with my friends and family, and crafting.
Anushka Shah Biology (BS) English (BA)
I am a junior double majoring in biology and English with concentrations in neuroscience and creative writing respectively. I am from Pittsburgh, PA. On campus, I am involved in the Pritchard lab that studies the evolution of drug resistance in cancer cells and intern with the creative writing department. This interest in research has also led me to spend the last two summers assisting with clinical research focused on congenital heart disease and neurodevelopment with the Pediatric Radiology department in the UPMC Children’s Hospital is Pittsburgh. Furthermore, I am the Special Projects Director of Schreyer for Women (SfW) where I have the opportunity to organize unique programming like an open mic for International Women’s Day and a member of Remote Area Medical (RAM), an organization that provides mobile medical services at local clinics to those in need of healthcare. I am passionate about the intersection between the arts and science, and have aspirations in obtaining an MA in poetry and attending medical school in the near future.Outside of school and my involvements, I enjoy being in nature, going to art museums, travelling, and spending time with my friends and family.

I am a senior from Vienna, Virginia majoring in History and Communications Arts & Sciences with a minor in Classics & Ancient Mediterranean Studies. I am a member of the Scholar Ambassador Team and the Paterno Fellows Advisory Board. In my free time I enjoy reading, rock climbing, traveling, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
Alexandra Stone Biobehavioral Health (BS)
I am a senior from Mechanicsburg, PA majoring in Biobehavioral Health, hoping to attend medical school next year. I am a member of the Scholar Ambassador Team, I was the Co-Social Chair on Student Council, I am an ambassador for the College of Health and Human Development, a grader for Organic Chemistry (CHEM 2010), and a TA for a biology lab. In my free time, I enjoy traveling to discover new cultures and learn new languages.
Johnathan Tielsch Engr Premajor (PMAJ)
I am currently a Sophomore in the Schreyer Honors College majoring in Aerospace Engineering. This past summer I conducted research up at Penn State involving Additive Manufacturing. In terms of my involvement at Penn State, I am currently the Vice President’s Chair for Schreyer Student Council with a main goal of serving as a link between Schreyer students and staff. I am also a Scholar Ambassador which represents the honors college to prospective students and potential donors. Finally, I am involved in Apollo, a THON organization dedicated to raising money for Penn State’s annual THON event targeting childhood cancer. Aside from my involvement, my hobbies include basically any type of physical activity, I love staying active, playing the piano, I actually keep a keyboard in my dorm, watching movies, who doesn’t, and I have recently started getting into listening to audio books!
Nora Van Horn Philosophy (BA) Chinese (BA)
Hello hello! I’m a sophomore majoring in Philosophy, Chinese, and Global and International Studies. Outside of the classroom, I serve on the Student Sustainability Advisory Council and the Sustainable Operations Council. I’m an EcoRep and the University Park Undergraduate Association’s Director of Sustainability. I also am in Schreyer’s Special Living Opinion, the GLOBE. In my free time (ha!) I enjoy hiking (Mount Nittany is gorgeous), reading (I’m working through Guns, Germs, and Steel right now), running (especially if I’m late to class), and drinking coffee (from a reusable mug—there’s a 25 cent discount if you use one on campus). Swati Vipperla Finance (BS)
I am a junior majoring in Finance and minoring in IST and the Legal Environment of Business from Downingtown, PA, which is around 45 minutes away from Philadelphia. Currently, I serve as the treasurer for Natya, the competitive Indian classical dance team at Penn State. On campus, I am also involved in SHO TIME, serving as a mentor for the past two years, Leveraged Lion Capital, Infusion, and other various Smeal organizations. Last summer I completed a Corporate Finance internship with Siemens in Orlando, FL; and this upcoming summer I will be in New York working as an Investment Banking intern for Deutsche Bank. Outside of school, I love watching TV, doing puzzles, and hanging out with friends.
Anastasia Wagner Political Science (BA)
I am junior! I'm studying Political Science with a minor in French & Francophone Studies. Like many people at Penn State, I'm from Pittsburgh. I'm involved with quite a few things here on campus, but my favorite clubs are Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science honors society that I'm the President of, and the Knittany Lions, the Penn State knitting club. During my time at Penn State, I've gotten really involved with the local political community, including having a fellowship with the Pennsylvania Democrats. I'm really passionate about community organizing, politics, and shaping policy to help people. In my free time, I play Go Fish with my friends, explore downtown State College, and try new knitting patterns.
Elizabeth Walsh Business Admin (PMAJ)
I am a sophomore from outside of Pittsburgh, majoring in finance with a minor in psychology and international business. At Penn State, I have enjoyed being a Lion Scout’s tour guide, a senior consultant in Nittany Consulting Group, and a volunteer for Penn State Alternative Breaks. I am now proud to represent Schreyer Honors College through the Scholar Ambassadors team! In my free time, I love to listen to my vinyl record collection and spend time with friends.
William Young Finance (BS)
I am a junior majoring in Finance from Yardley, PA. In addition to serving as a Scholar Ambassador, I am a member of the Presidential Leadership Academy and the Director of Portfolio Analytics & Monthly Reports for Leveraged Lion Capital, the first syndicated loan and high-yield bond portfolio managed exclusively by college students. During the Fall 2019 semester, I work as a Research Assistant at the Center for Global Business Studies and as an Intern at Vicus Capital in State College, PA. During Summer 2020, I will be joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Sales & Trading Summer Analyst in New York City. In my free time, I enjoy playing the saxophone, listening to jazz music, and watching Penn State football.
