Lead, Connect, and Shape Your Community

At Schreyer Honors College, community is something you help create. Student organizations, employment, and leadership opportunities allow you to connect with people who share your interests, explore new possibilities, and make a meaningful difference for your fellow Scholars.

Whether you are planning programs, mentoring new Scholars, representing the college, or collaborating with staff on projects that move Schreyer’s mission forward, you will build practical skills, lasting relationships, and the confidence to lead. These experiences are an opportunity to activate every part of your education, contribute to our vibrant community, and create a path that is uniquely your own—while helping others thrive along the way.

Schreyer Student Organizations

Schreyer student organizations are a great place to start if you are looking to get more involved with the Schreyer Community. Through Schreyer organizations, Scholars connect based on shared interests and develop important skills by organizing programming for fellow Scholars. To explore and join any of these organizations, reach out directly to the group. Watch for new member meetings early in the fall semester. These are announced on social media or through the college’s weekly newsletter.

As part of Penn State, you can also join any of the almost 1,000 student organizations across the University. Schreyer Scholars are shaping Penn State every year as leaders in many of these organizations.

We plan social events for Scholars, offer an avenue for Scholars to be involved in THON, plan service and philanthropic initiatives, and organize academic and career building events.

Schreyer for Women

We are dedicated toward the championing of women and non-gender-conforming individuals through opportunities for personal and professional development and community engagement. We are a space for Scholars to network, socialize, collaborate, and contribute to their community even beyond graduation.

Schreyer Medical Team

We are building a community of pre-health students in Schreyer by hosting speaker events, panel discussions, visits to medical schools, and more. Our events are aimed to support Scholars in broadening their perspectives in medicine, learning about the application processes, and engaging in opportunities that support their success.
