Deadline 3: Thesis Format Review
To ensure you are on the right track, a format review is one of thethesis deadlines. For the format review, you must upload your in-progress thesis template, including the title page and any content you’ve started, through Schreyer's Student Record System (SRS). The format review is only completed by Schreyer; your honors thesis adviser and thesis supervisor do not need to review this submission. We are not reviewing content, only your format.
Schreyer Thesis Template
All Schreyer Honors College thesis submissions must follow our thesis template.
Schreyer Formatting Requirements
We have three format requirements, which, if not followed, will result in your submission being rejected.
Page Numbering
Your thesis must include page numbers. Our thesis template will help you correctly number your pages. Remember not to number the title page, use lowercase Roman numerals for the abstract through the acknowledgement pages, and the body of your thesis should begin with page 1 and use Arabic numbering (1, 2, 3, etc.)
Title Page
Your thesis must include a title page. Please use the template provided to ensure your title page is formatted correctly.
Academic Vita
While the academic vita is optional, if you choose to include one you must remove your GPA.
Thesis Sections
Because scholarly work can vary greatly across disciplines, your thesis committee is your primary resource for any formatting questions outside of our requirements. They can best guide you on which optional sections to include, what style guide is most appropriate, and how to structure tables and figures. It is also helpful to look up some recent thesis examples in your area of honors. Most scholarly work will contain the following sections.
