Signature Programs & Events
Schreyer programs, much like our Scholars, are uniquely interdisciplinary. We are thoughtful in designing opportunities that broaden the honors education, build leadership skills, expose you to new ideas, and help you tackle big questions.

Signature Programs
Mark Luchinsky Memorial Lecture
The Mark Luchinsky Memorial Lecture was endowed by family and friends to honor the memory of Mark Luchinsky, a University Scholar. This lecture series hosts speakers of all disciplines who exemplify intellectual honesty, personal integrity, and joy in learning.
Dilemmas of Democracy
The Dilemmas of Democracy Lecture focuses on the challenges facing modern democracy. The lecture series is funded through a generous gift from Penn State alumni Art and Betty Glenn with the goal to provide opportunities on campus for students to participate in vital conversations about the future of global politics.
Distinguished Honors Faculty Program
The Distinguished Honors Faculty Program (DHFP) is uniquely Schreyer. Small groups of Scholars meet with faculty outside of the classroom to explore topics of interest. Through discussion-based programs, you can interact with new faculty and broaden your education through areas of interest that may be outside of your primary major.
Connect Networking and Career Day
Each spring, Connect Networking & Career Day brings more than 50 Scholar alumni to campus for a day of career-related panel discussions and networking. Our largest career-related event is designed for all Scholars, whether you are exploring majors, considering internships, preparing for graduate or professional school, or sending out resumes for employment.
Will Schreyer Honors College Cosponsor My Event?
Schreyer Honors College provides limited funding support for speakers, conferences and other outreach events. The College shares funding as equitably as possible across all requests; however, funding is not guaranteed. We cosponsor events that support student success and complement the values of the College: Inclusive Community, Courageous Discovery, Global Intention, Empowered Growth.
Please submit your request for cosponsorship using the link below. Submit the request form 4 or more weeks prior to your event date. Submissions after this deadline may be considered if funds are available.
