Biography

David de la Rosa joined the Presidential Leadership Academy (PLA) in September 2024 as Student Engagement Specialist. Passionate about leadership science and student development, he works closely with PLA scholars to support their leadership growth and engagement within the academy. His responsibilities include teaching HONOR 401, coordinating student programming, leading leadership development initiatives, supervising student interns, and managing academy trips and logistics.

Prior to joining PLA, David served for three years as Assistant Director in the Office for Diversity and Inclusion within Penn State's College of Health and Human Development. Before coming to Penn State, he built a career in higher education student affairs with a focus on diversity and inclusion and residence life. In addition to his role in the Presidential Leadership Academy, David serves on Penn State's First-Generation Student Advisory Council and represents the Schreyer Honors College on the University Staff Advisory Council.
