Biography

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Jessica Chhan joined the Schreyer Honors College in May 2026 as the Events Specialist. A Penn State graduate, she has spent her career helping create memorable experiences through hospitality and event management.

Her professional background includes roles as a Sales Manager, Catering Sales Manager, and Convention Services Manager in hotels and a convention center. Throughout her career, she has planned and executed conferences, symposiums, luncheons, galas, weddings, trade shows, and other events for groups ranging from intimate gatherings to thousands of attendees. At Schreyer, she supports the planning and coordination of events that bring Scholars, alumni, and guests together.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the gym, and planning her next trip. Her current favorite destination is Tokyo, Japan. She also loves sharing stories about her tri-colored corgi, Nimbus.
